The New "Box Stock" Clone Engine has taken the country by Storm, and it's here at GKK!!!

The New Box Stock “Clone” class that has taken several tracks in the country by storm is here in our area.  The engines are in!  Several area tracks will offer this class:  Georgia Karting Komplex, Georgia Maxxis Dirt Series, Peachstate Karting Komplex, Checkered Flag Speedway, Southern Pride Kartway, Possum Kingdom, and I am sure there will be many others that will be offering this class.       If you know anyone who has an interest in racing but can’t afford a $1500 engine to get started let them know about this class.  I know Several karters who are already racing that are going to this class.  You must run one of the “Cheap” Noram style clutches.  No $300 Disc clutches!!!       After talking with some who already run this class,  An older “used” Chassis seems to be just as fast as the latest $3000 Chassis for this class.  Some of them are buying the brand new “Budget Chassis” such as the Ultramax BadMax and the Phenom ES Edition Chassis and having great success.  Engines will remain stock.  There will be a $200 claim rule on the engines as well.  If your engine is claimed, you may remove the Clutch and chain guard before handing over your engine.       The age rule for this class will be ages 14 and older.  The weight to start off with will be 375#.  Engines must remain stock and must run 87 octane Gasoline.  Anyone caught intentionally cheating or failing to Give up there engine if it is claimed will be banned from any of the participating tracks!      Engines are available for purchase for $165.  These are the “Yellow” engines.  They are Basically the same as the Blue Clone engines except the Yellow Engines were imported for racing purposes and have more quality control checks at the assembly plant, as well as a better gasket kit than the Blue engines.  These are OHV engines.  If you would like to purchase an engine or find out more info, please email me at georgiakarting@alltel.net
